Detail & Design Studio is seeking a highly creative individual to join our team!

Qualifications

You:

  • Are fluent in (required):

    • Adobe Creative Suite

    • Squarespace

  • Are skilled in - or ready to learn - the following platforms (preferred though not required):

    • WordPress

    • Dubsado CRM

    • QuickBooks

    • Hootsuite

    • MailChimp

    • Canva

    • Asana

  • Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, business, or a closely related field.

  • Have a great love for branding and design as well as a sound aesthetic point of view.

  • Have a desire to connect with Durham entrepreneurs.

  • Have strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to write original content for social media posts and blogs.

  • Are social, friendly, and enjoy working with others.

  • Are a creative self-starter and can work independently.

  • Are prepared to give your best creative energies to every project, from research and ideation through refinement and delivery.

Responsibilities

Your role will be evenly split between business operations and client-facing work.
 

Business operations

  • Create content and graphics for blogs, social media, newsletters, and websites.
  • Maintain website and make regular website updates.

  • Contribute to creation and implementation of internal systems regarding pricing, policies, and services.

  • Work in Dubsado to build a client database, create proposals and contracts, and follow up on leads.

  • Complete light bookkeeping tasks, as assigned.

  • Research market and competitors.

  • Design digital and print products.
     

Client-facing

  • Coordinate new accounts.

  • Manage and keep records for existing accounts.

  • Follow up on potential/lead clients.

  • Create and implement client satisfaction protocols.

  • Follow up with clients after project completion.

Compensation

$14-$16 per hour, to be determined based on experience. 15-20 hours per week to start with a strong possibility that hours will increase after the first few months.

Location

We work out of Gridworks in downtown Durham. Our Creative Coordinator will be expected to work approximately 75% of their time in Gridworks with our team.
